so far, no materials for 682. to do that you have to study for 2 tests 680 and 685, 20 something questions each. It is one test and done. alternative is study 680 and 686 and become enterprise tech instead. 2 tests 45-50 questions each. What would you do?

But having taken 680 & 685 I would go that route. 686 deals with deployment tools and as far as I am concerned I'm giving 686 a miss because I clone using Acronis so I don't have the need to learn the Microsoft way of deploying Windows 7. -

I am assuming you have the MCDST. The 682 is the upgrade exam for the MCITP:EST cert. Most people just study the 680 and 685 exams, as that is what the 682 covers.
I had the MCDST, but chose to go the 2 exam route as it is a big jump from XP to 7. -
NinjaBoy Member Posts: 968Normally I do the upgrade exams, however this time I did the individual exams, mainly due to having already taken the 70-680 as a free exam a while ago.

It would still be a good idea to lab the deployment areas. They WILL be on the exam and it will help to be familiar with them, even if you don't plan to do it the M$ way.
