Is MTA a prereq?

Just wondering since I couldn't find this on google. Do I need an MTA cert as a prereq to take the MCTS 70-642 exam?

There is no prereq for 70-642.

All I had to do was signup at Prometric online, give them my money, then take the test at the center on the day I scheduled.

Hey,

There is no pre-req for any of the SA exams(640, 642, 646), nor the EA afaik but someone else can confirm this for you
