Does it make sense to hold off doing the vcp 4.1 course now that vcp5 is here?
I was contacted today with a reduced rate for the vcp 4.1 five day course...
Should i hold out for the new vcp5 course starting in september?
Thanks

If you're new to vSphere and you haven't started studying yet and you don't think you can get the VCP4 exam and class done before next Februrary then I would wait. If you think you can then do VCP4 now and take the upgrade exam by Februrary of next year with no class requirement to upgrade. Either way you're taking a class. You have to make a decision on what's more important and realistic for you. I am attempting to knock out VCP4 first as I've already started the material and I can find the class close to home for $800. -

If you were to give an average time frame to prepare for the vcp4 how many months would you say? Roughly 6 months, 9? Would be interested to hear from anyone. -
aordal Member Posts: 372I personally did it in 6 months. I'm sure it could be done faster by someone with a lot more motivation. But you could do it before February if you're motivated.
