A friend of mine just built a new machine to run hyper-V at home. He claims he purchased 4 8GB sticks of Kingston ram.
He is suppose to send me the part number because I am unable to find 8gb sticks on Kingston's, fry's, or newegg's website. Everything I have found was 2x4gb kits.
We are talking about desktop ram, I know he only spent about 1000 on the entire rig.

Lamini Member Posts: 242 ■■■□□□□□□□There are plenty of DESKTOP 8gb sticks. A few I've found are Gskill, Crucial, and as you've mentioned, Kingston.
Its the LAPTOP 8gb sticks that actually take a little effort to find =(. My Sager NP9280 supposedly supports 8GB sticks, but once I saw the prices...CompTIA: A+ / NET+ / SEC+
