Hey Everyone Just had a question does anybody know any Programs that record your pc for example what the people over at Trainsignal use to record the videos just to record the PC Desktop??


I'm Already using CamStudio Recorder and im not happy with it.

We create a lot of training videos for our users.

We use Screen Recorder Pro Create Demos and Flash Presentations: My Screen Recorder Pro

They have a trial version.

Camtasia Studio is a very good tool but probably more than you're looking for: Screen Capture, Screen Recorder, Video Hosting, and Usability Testing Software

Or there is also Adobe Captivate which one of the my last employers used and seemed to love.

Except fraps is catered toward games. It also includes the watermark and only allows 30sec videos at a time (unpaid version.) Also willing to bet the file sizes will be much larger using fraps.

Honestly, for free...I always thought Camstudio was pretty good.

@Steve Camstudio is good in quality wise but for some reason the videos get corrupted after a watch them a few times.

Microsoft Expression Encoder has a free version that will do up to 10 minutes at a time, which is probably good enough for most topics. You could probably edit them and splice them together with another tool, or you could buy the full version and not have the limitation. It automatically has a Silverlight output, if that is of interest.
