Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255

in CCNA & CCENT
Hi, all i am studying for CCENT 1, today i checked my public IP from my DSL router and found the IP and subnet mask is 117.206.4.68 255.255.255.255
I have a Class A address and how could its possible my subnet is all bits on.
what i mean is i am connected to an ISP of large network and they issued me an ip address where only one network and one host is possible logically
Please forgive me if it is a foolish question, considering my limited knowledge in sunetting !!

Thank you for the explanation. Sounds like beyond the scope of CCNA ! -

Knowing what a host route is, is definitely part of the CCNA. Maybe not in this context but you should know what one is, how to configure one and how to identify one.
