I want to complete my degree as fast as possible at WGU. I have 59 CU's to complete and was wondering how long this might take to finish. What's the most CU's anyone has taken in one term?

I read a guy took right around 60 before. I read that in the WGU communities and I believe the same here.
If you can't do it, you can most definitely knock that out in 2 terms as long as you have the time to put forth. -
Jourdsh Member Posts: 91 ■■□□□□□□□□Its doable, but it also depends on what classes you are taking, I find that certifications slow me down a bit. I am 2 months in, and I am at 29 cus. With 4 months left I will be past 60 done, but the majority will be the general education stuff, I won't have done my CCENT, or Capstone by then for example.WGU Progress

Michael.J.Palmer Member Posts: 407 ■■■□□□□□□□I'm in the same boat, I plan to take about that many over the course of two terms (or a year), right now my goal is to hit between 27 to 30 each term to accomplish that. I think it's doable if you're willing to commit time to studying.-Michael Palmer

snokerpoker Member Posts: 661 ■■■■□□□□□□I completed 34 CU's in my first term. I basically did nothing except go to work and concentrate on WGU courses once I got home. I even submitted and made revisions on tasks during lunch.

erpadmin Member Posts: 4,165 ■■■■■■■■■■I did exactly 59 CUs in two terms (28 1st term, and 31 in 2nd). I had a mixture of certs (CompTIA, CIW, and one MS) and general education courses. The general eds are done.
I'm now attempting 37 CUs so I can be done with WGU and focus on CLEP/DSST exams for Business School (MBA). Can't believe it's almost over.....(for real, this time).
All of my classes I took are in the Student Experiences thread. There is even a Master post I wrote sometime back that I'm gonna complete once I'm done with WGU and use that as my sig.
A year and a half was all I could hope for. -
Hypntick Member Posts: 1,451 ■■■■■■□□□□I'm sitting at 35 cu right now myself with technically a month to go until my next term. I could probably knock out at least 1 more but I really need a bit of a break. In the meantime i'm reading up for the 70-642, a time management book, and a powershell book. Some break huh?WGU BS:IT Completed June 30th 2012.
WGU MS:ISA Completed October 30th 2013. -

tr1x Member Posts: 213Thanks for the replies everyone. It sounds like 59 could be done then, I'd just have to concentrate a lot of time on it. I'm currently unemployed so I'm just going to put all my time and effort into school and try to complete it all in one term.

Devilry Member Posts: 668There are a few guys on the WGU community forums that completed 0-Graduation in 1 term, but it seems only in the Business Admin degrees. I dont think you could knockout that many certs in one.

Alif_Sadida_Ekin Member Posts: 341 ■■■■□□□□□□I was able to complete my degree at WGU in one semester which totaled 57 CUs, so it's definitely possible. However, I'll echo what some people here have said, it all depends what classes you have to take. For instance, some of the Microsoft courses might slow things down a bit.AWS: Solutions Architect Associate, MCSA, MCTS, CIW Professional, A+, Network+, Security+, Project+

If you're not working, 59 should absolutely be doable. I completed 72 my first term while working full time (and overtime). The main thing is to base your expectations on your abilities and not worry about what others have done/are doing. Regardless, good luck with it. -
