Why I love Unix
I stumbled upon this article by the great author Sandra Henry-Stocker.
Why I Love Unix | ITworld
I think it's worth reading. Loving what you do and getting paid for it is just great

For those who understand how all the parts fit together, the complexity melts away, and the only limit to what you can do is your imagination (ok, and maybe your disk I/O too)

UnixGuy Mod Posts: 4,570 ModI like the author's writing style. I've been skimming through one of her books:
Amazon.com: Solaris Solutions for System Administrators: Time-Saving Tips, Techniques, and Workarounds, Second Edition (9780471431152): Sandra Henry-Stocker, Evan R. Marks: Books
It is outdated, but I enjoyed skimming through some chapters. Her blog is fun to read too -

And let's not forget that GNU stands for GNU is Not Unix
"Hurd" stands for "Hird of Unix-Replacing Daemons" (or does it?)
and also Wine stands for Wine Is Not an Emulator
Climb a mountain, tell no one.
