Lab setup for 70-6421

Hi,
I'm having some problems with my lab for 70-642. Using vmware player, I get stuck at Task 7: Configure a stub zone for WoodgroveBank.com, it always gives an error saying that the server is not authorized and for Task 8: Configure administrative options for the nwtradters.msft domain, I am not able to see the DL Nwtraders DNS Admins group.
Anybody has ever encountered this or could share some suggestions, it doesn't matter if the solution is workable or not, at least we'll know after I try it out.
The host is running on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Oh and I guess some might suggest I go with vmware server, well I downloaded 2.02 and after setting up my VM, I ran it, it hangs at 95% when powering up, didn't get to the W2K8 setup screen.
