Shared File Message

Hello,

I've just noticed that when one of our users tries to access a shared file that is being used by another user, the original user's name no longer appears. The user trying to access the file gets the message stating that the file is in use by "another user". Before it used to tell them which user was already using the file. This happens with both xlsx and docx files.

File Server: Windows 2003 Server Ent SP2
Domain Controller: Windows 2008 Standard SP2
Workstations: Windows 7 Pro x64 / Windows XP Pro x32
Office Version: 2007 SP2

Any ideas?

We've had this come up before, but it is always when no one else was using the file (it said it was in use by 'another user.' ) After a little bit they can open the file. We haven't looked closely at it, but out best guess is network latency so far. It is infrequent enough for us that we haven't really pursued it yet.
