Do I email back

I would like to get your guys and gals option.

I have applied for a position and I received an email from their HR informing me that she has summited my resume for the position. Should I email her back and say thank you?

I am not sure of protocol here.

I dont see why not, doesn't hurt I guess. Just dont go calling every day, that's what's going to piss her off.

By all means you should reply back. Ensure to thank her communicating through the submission process. Most times in large corporation you never hear back from these companies.

Yes.. in the least, email.. if you are feeling ballsy, call and thank them. It will be appreciated.

I'm not sure on the protocol here either, but I'm going to echo everyone else, send her a quick e-mail thanking her.

I doubt it will be the deciding factor for a job, but in my opinion it shows interest.
