Is there a way to install MAC OS on a PC?

I was hoping to remove Windows 7 off of one of my machines and install MAC OS. Is this possible?

Thanks

Possible, yes, but it violates the EULA.

Should just bite the bullet and get a Mac. I was looking at the Hackintosh way but couldn't be bothered. You pay through the nose for the laptop/desktop but they sure do look sexy! :D

    a few tips on it

1 you can try it in a vm first
2 make sure you have intel chip not amd
3 make sure you have intel north/south bridge or at least a good one not a cheap one
4 make sure you have a intel wireless card/nic
5 make sure your vid card is the same chip set used in macs
6 dont bother setting up a printer its not worth the hassle

Exactly. If you want to escape Windows, I'd suggest the latest Ubuntu. Very Mac-like, and almost all the software you could ever want. . . for free.

Just get a Mac Mini since it's a lot cheaper, and you don't have to worry about incompatibility issues. I wish I got this (the latest one) instead of shelling out $1600 on my Santa Rosa Macbook Pro three years ago.

    The question is, why?

I am in a same situation. I really want to get a MBP or a Fedora 15. I tried Fedora 15 in a VM, but I could not test the new gui. I am guessing that it is not compatible with VM.
The MAC and Linux commands are the same? I know MAC uses sudo, but I am not sure if both OSes use the same commands.

Remember, MAC is UNIX, not Linux. You would be better off learning off another UNIX variant like SUN, HP UX, or AIX.

I remember toying with Hackintosh a while back reading mega threads all about it and even using a VMware image. It was always buggy, slow as hell and a general pain to deal with. It was a fun project for a couple weeks and now I'm back and plenty satisfied with Windows.
