Question about WGU's cert-based classes...

Forgive me if this has already been asked/answered somewhere, but I did a search, but did not find this covered in other posts.

Re: Classes geared towards obtaining a cert - How exactly do they work? Is the 'final exam' for these classes the cert exam itself? Do you have required tests to take (through WGU) before you can sit for the certification exam?

For example: If a class is geared towards 70-680 - do you pass a WGU test, and then sit for the cert exam, or does the class itself merely lead up to taking the actual cert exam only, with the cert exam itself become your indicator of the passing (or not passing, as it were) of that class?

Just trying to get a feel for how this will work, as I intend to start at WGU in October. Thanks!

The last thing you said is correct. 1 exam = 1 class. Remember, WGU want to test your competency on the subject. So they are not gonna bother drilling you weeks after weeks if you already know the stuff. They want you to be placed where you should be now so you can move on with where you left off. Next time, use our WGU Questions and Answers sticky thread instead of making a new thread.

My bad if I wasn't clear in the first place. What I meant is that rather than starting a new thread, you can ask any questions related with WGU in our WGU FAQ thread. It's constantly updated. I wasn't expecting you to search for a thread that has the answer you are looking for, but since you couldn't find the answer, you could ask us there instead.
