Hey guys just wondering about the most used hardware , software and network appliances a sys admin should be familiar with and what popular vendors are there in the field for IT infrastructure.

I've just known about names likes MS Windows Server , Dell and Hp Servers, Cisco Routers and Switches, Symantec Netbackup, SonicWall Devices ,Cyber Roam IDS/IPS, Barracuda Spam Filter, GFI lan guard and some opensource software like Baccula and Endian ...
