Cisco Academy

in CCNA & CCENT
Hi,
I'll been reading Todd's book and decided to enrole myself in a course. The course is built up on 4 semesters. I've also purchased the official Cisco Press Books for the CCNA.
Does anyone know which chapters tie up with the semesters and if the final exam of the cisco academy is different from the non cisco academy exam?
Thanks

The tests for the Academy were harder in my opinion. Best thing to do, is look at the topics for each class and match them up with books.
Did you get the books for the class as well or using the online material?Currently reading: Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action -

I finished the network academy on Thursday evening, one thing I didn't realise going into it (probably quite naively) was you're not CCNA certified when you complete it so you've still got the same exams to look forward to after you complete the network academy, but you will get vouchers to go towards them after you've completed the course.
I found the online material good, but at times it was rather dull and went into things that's not asked in any of the exams I've done. Having a skills test where you have to setup a network from the ground up is a very good way of ensuring you know what your doing. I'm pretty confident about doing the CCNA composite (640-802) exam now as I think the course has helped me stay motivated as there's a hell of a lot to take in there and I would have found it extremely difficult to stay motivated throughout if I was learning from a book.Certs:

They are books specifically made for the curriculum of the Cisco network academy. If you enrolled at a institution or school they should have them for sale at the book store or you can purchase them online. -

odysseyelite: The academy has a test after each semester and there after you have to do the CCNA exam.
I use the online material as well as Cisco Press Books.
TIA568B: When you say the exams do you mean the ones after each semeter or the end CCNA exam?
gregorio323: I've got the Cisco Press Books are they not enough?
tbh, I've read though Todd's book but I was not sure that I knew enough, also I found that some things I was forgetting therefore I enrolled myself on a course.

I think I was mainly meaning the end CCNA exams
The tests done at the end of each semester were done under exam conditions for me, they were tough, but I managed to pass them all and that's without anything other than the online material. I've bought one Cisco Press book which I haven't paid any attention to yet, to be honest I think the course material is going to be enough for the exam, but I'll post when I've done it to see if I'm rightCerts:

Sorry about the late reply, but I've completed the course and it seems to cover everything pretty well, I'm waiting for my voucher to come through to book the composite exam ASAP.Certs:
