I'm currently going to a local college working on my Cisco certs ( Cisco Academy). They don't offer any of the classes I really need till this winter So I decided to take a windows server class they offer. This class supposedly prepares you for the MCITP 70-646? Is that right? I figured I would try for the cert...
Here are the books they made me buy for the class..
Amazon.com: MCTS Guide to Configuring Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Active Directory (Exam #70-640) (Networking (Course Technology)) (9781423902355): Greg Tomsho: Books
Amazon.com: MCITP Guide to Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Server Administration, Exam #70-646 (Mcts Series) (9781423902386): Michael Palmer: Books
They come with a Windows Server 2008 120 trial so I thought I would load them up in Virtualbox.
Are there any other resources you would recommend to help me get this cert? Maybe a better book or some videos?

Very exhaustive, all-encompassing, from Microsoft themselves, accurate and free. What more does one need? It can be a bit overwhelming at first though, but as you pick up pace you'll be fine. Another thing people do is study the books and fill in the gaps with TechNet (the link I just posted). I prefer TechNet only as the books sometimes only scratch the surface of topics relevant for the exams.
The CBT Nuggets are good too, but pricey. -

I passed the 70-640 on my own using Technet and the MS Press book. The book touched on the surface but Technet allowed me to dig deeper when I needed it.
