Hiring in Anchorage, AK

I work for a consulting company in Anchorage, AK. We're looking for individuals experienced in Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, VMware vSphere, NetApp, and/or Cisco networking. Primarily mid and senior level positions, but the aptitude to pick up new things quickly is important. We mainly work with small and medium businesses with a few enterprise clients.

    What is cost of living like in Anchorage?
    IT guy since 12/00

    Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
    Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...

    It's not too bad, probably a bit higher than average. We don't have any state income or sales tax, which is nice. Housing in Anchorage can be a bit on the high side but a lot of people commute from Palmer and Wasilla where property is much less expensive.

    I'm trying to move back to Alaska. I lived in North Pole and interior Alaska is one of the nicest places I've ever been. I am hoping I can get a job and move back in the next year or 2.
