Thought this maybe fun to start up and help other Technet members like myself who are going to school and working keep sane. I am wondering how you manage your time? I will be starting to work Help Desk Tier 1 soon Friday-Sunday and then doing school Monday-Thursday while taking a full 15 credits worth of classes. All of this is starting on September 16th.
How do you keep yourself Sane and get your school deadlines met as well as your work deadlines?
After this quarter, I should be working more and also going to school.

Akaricloud Member Posts: 938You just need to manage your time well, keep organized so you don't miss deadlines and enjoy yourself.
I'm working 40 hours a week as a desktop support tech, taking 15 college credits at a major university and am about to start another part time job hopefully!
It can be done and it can be very rewarding as well. Coming out with a degree and a few years experience will help you move up quick.
One thing to watch though: If you're currently receiving financial aid making a good chunk of income could drastically lower that for your next year. -
Tackle Member Posts: 534If I read that right, you don't have school on the days you have to work? Work 3 days a week and school 4 days a week?
Seems like a piece of cake to me. Plenty of time in there for studying, findin some ladies, and drinking beer.
Not saying I'm God Almighty or anything, but I worked full time during college and also took more classes than what qualified as full time. If I could have afforded it, I would have just had a part time job like you (assuming 3 days is part time).
I'm jealous of your schedule. -

krjay Member Posts: 290You shouldn't have a problem being that you don't go to school on days you work too. I work 7am-5pm mon-sat and take classes Mon-thur 6pm-10pm. I manage just fine although I really don't have time for anthing but work school and sleep during the week.
You might eventually turn into a drone though. What I mean by that is for example when my classes ended last semester I accidentally drove right to school after work and then realized I was done for the semester. My mind and body were confused when they had free time.2014 Certification Goals: 70-410 [ ] CCNA:S [ ] Linux+ [ ] -
SilverGenius Member Posts: 56 ■■□□□□□□□□I work full time, 40 hours a week from 8-5. I will be taking 15 credits this semester. The nice thing about this semester is that I only have one class from 6-9 once a week, the rest of the classes are online classes.
It is possible, just need to be organized and it takes discipline, I can only hope that I improve over time -
Essendon Member Posts: 4,546 ■■■■■■■■■■Someone I know works 2 full-time jobs and attends university part-time. First job from 9am-5pm, the second job from 6pm-2am. University on the weekends. How's that for a schedule? He's a drone for sure (and single), but the money's rolling in, the experience is building, and degree is almost there. I reckon if you can do it, do it by all means. One of our members, msteinhiliber, also had a similarly crazy schedule.
