Need advice ASAP

I'm trying to land this contract gig. It would be only for 2-3 nights but it pays MIN $400/night and $50/hour after 8 hours. They've been emailing me wanting me to take it. Well now they changed their mind and say I don't have enough "racking" experience. All the job is pulling out older switch and router and replacing it with a new 3750.

I don't really think "racking" a new switch/router is that difficult. You put the ears on, place it in the rack and screw it down. Properly route the cables and make sure cable management is right.

Does anyone have any advice on racking that I could use to make them feel more confident with choosing me?

Did you build you own lab? Maybe you can use that as a "portfolio" to show your experience.

At it's most basic yeah it is that simple but there really is a lot more to racking equipment than that. Especially if the facility is NEBS complaint. Some equipment requires grounding straps or wires, airflow has to be accounted for, some pieces of equipment can only be mounted in specific orientations. It is complex enough that Compaq and a couple other companies used to make add ins for visio to help plan the installations. I would read some of Cisco's rack mount guidelines and wow them with that.
