Good luck! Lab up DNS and GPO's as much as you can, I can assure you'll get a grilling on these two topics.

Pretty much the same here. Gonna lab it up a bit on my server although i'm limited on what I can do. Was reading through direct-access last night, wish I had the gear to set it up.

Anyone else have an issue with Labsim exercise 6.2.4? Can get everything else right but when I allocate the IPs the remote connection should provide I seem to get it wrong somehow. Could it be a typo on the part of the system as to what range they're looking for?

Just ran through it again to check it out, no error putting in the range of IP addresses.

Hmm I must be doing something wrong then, thanks for checking. Tried to contact Testout but they won't answer any questions if you're a student. icon_sad.gif

Just a quick check, are you getting 50 available IP addresses in the box underneath?

Yep it shows 50 IP's. I'm pretty sure i'm doing something wrong now, just not certain what exactly.

Was going to try and attach a picture but the new forum won't let me. http://oi54.tinypic.com/mtnz2d.jpg
Let's see if that works. Yeah if you can spot what i'm doing wrong i'd greatly appreciate it.

Can't see anything different from what I was putting in, and you are enabling IPv4 routing on the General tab?

Also after I enter the addresses and hit ok, the services take a second to update and start, if you are hitting "done" before that finishes that may be effecting it.

Yep, I get credit for the routing just don't get credit for adding that scope. I sent an email to the course mentor could just be a glitch then. Oh well, it's not terribly important, I just hate seeing that task in red. icon_lol.gif
