Educate me on GNS3

Ok, so I got it downloaded, and happy. But, I am kind of lost, as I am a Cisco Packet Tracer kind of guy.
Any help would be great.
If anyone has any pre-configured setups, that would be great as well.

    blindhog.net

Has excellent video tutorials on most common tasks.
We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?

freeccnaworkbook.com starts out by walking you through setting it all up.

Just checked the site, and the 2 links for GNS3 videos are not loading, just reloads the main page.

Go to the labs. The first few are about getting everything set up.

I've never looked at the videos there so I don't know whats up with that.

Found the main issue. I need to load the IOS for each device. Without a smartnet account, that is a no go with devices that are still under Cisco Support.

Even with a Smartnet account, you still can't legally use the IOS image with anything but the device Cisco provided the image for. But where there is a will, there is a way. As we often say on this forum, what happens in the lab stays in the lab. icon_cool.gif

And Matt is moving everything to Stub Area Networking. Watch that space.
