How to remove ESX host from down vCenter

Anyone know how to remove a ESX host from a vCenter that's powered down? The current vCenter installed on a blade with bad RAM as a physical server.
I'm building a new vCenter on a VM, but not sure how to remove the hosts from current vCenter while that vCenter is powered down.

I originally put, just add the host to the new vCenter but I wasn't sure. Duncan approves, so I'd say that's the way to do it.
