Need Help with CISSP preparation
Hi,
I am planning to take CISSP exam in Oct / Nov. I do have previous experience in Information security and feel that this certification would be a great enhancement to my career.
I have not started preparing for the exam yet; but went through the various domains. Can anyone please provide me guidance on the following:
- How many hrs preparation is required to pass the exam?
- What is recommended - self study or training?
- Materials to refer to - where can I purchase them online?
- Any links for sample questions, exam materials etc
Appreciate your response and inputs.

I am studying for the CISSP as well; these are the resources I am using:
Primary Study material:
1. Amazon.com: CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide, Fifth Edition (9780071602174): Shon Harris: Books
2. Amazon.com: Official (ISC)2 Guide to the CISSP CBK, Second Edition ((ISC)2 Press) (9781439809594): Harold F. Tipton: Books

I would say study time is based on your work experience within each of the tested domains. If you've seen x% of the material at a prior job, you might spend less time in that domain and vice versa.
