I don't remember who, but a co-worker once said all of IT is nothing more then customer service. Your company is your customer, and with all customer service is it a very thankless job. Tight deadlines, low budgets with little to no appreciation from outside our departments the stress level can reach a max. So I can completely understand why those jobs are listed.
I remember having a very in-depth conversation with a department lead who said I was never doing anything but walking around talking to people. ( This was when Exchange, WMS,F&PS and 3-4 Oracle and SQL db's were onsite). I asked him when the last time Red Prairie was down... Couple Months...Email?..Couple months.... Internet? (Besides after installing Blox

i.t is all about passion end of story.
If you do something u luv it wont feel like work. Not like those money loving ppl who are in i.t for money.Just relax and take it easy and dont take it too seriously -

I wish I have a clerical work where I can leave when working hours are over, no calls at midnight or on weekends, no projects or deadlines, no pressure etc etc.
Will it be boring, yes, will I survive, yes, will I be happy with that kind of job, not sure but I really need a break from all this IT stuff! -

I know I just started in the IT workforce 4 months ago, but I love the IT work environment!
Planning on staying at the Help Desk level for as long as I can -

I'll say this much....with what IT Directors and up (AVPs, VPS, CIOs, etc.) get paid, I would STFU about the "five word responses" and love life. Those
es only complain because they allow the users' boss to stress them. If you're running a tight IT ship and your boss is happy, that's all that matters. Everything else is just whiny noise.
This cheered me up, because I know I'm guaranteed one of those whiny wimps' job one day.
