Should I upgrade the ram on my 2501s?

in CCNA & CCENT
Currently they have 4 MB of ROM/RAM. Running IOS 9 and ive heard somewheres that later levels of IOS need more ROM/RAM. Input is appreciated.

If you plan on studying for the CCNA you need more memory. You should upgrade your memory to 16MB/16MB. You will need IOS 12.x to do most of the stuff on the CCNA. You can get a 16MB stick on ebay really cheap.

I would strongly recommend upgrading your boot chip as well. -

To run 16mb intel flash (most of the ones you ebay) you need a bootrom software of atlease 10.2Looking for CCIE lab study partnerts, in the UK or Online.
