Out of this list, I like Wireshark and Virtualbox, and find that Clamwin can be a bit lacking at times.

I think the Sysinternals suite (at least ProcMon) should be added as well.

    I don't believe those are open source, though. Just free. But they are certainly an essential part of my kit.

    Thanks for the reply. Yep you are right, my mistake! Sys Internals tools are AWESOME IMHO, but are not open source!

    The only ones on that list that I use are Wireshark and Nmap. The rest of the time I use other tools, some free some not.

    -Wireshark
    -Virtualbox

    I haven't used them in a while though.

    From that list, on every computer I use regularly:
    * WireShark
    * Nmap
    and...
    * SysInternals

    I found AMANDA to look interesting. I'll have to give that a try at some point.

    I use core configurator, what a helpful tool that thing is.

    I use OCS inventory as well.

    I can't live without PowerGUI.

    Not sure how I forgot PowerGUI! The Script Editor is a tool I use daily.

    I've never used the SharePoint installer but in the dev environment I am building that is sure to be a tool that gets added to my kit as well.

    I wonder who uses AMANDA to back up Windows servers. Anyone here?

    Never used it. Used Veritas Backup Exec with tape drives before, but never Amanda, though it does look interesting to try!
