upgrade smc switch

I was given a 12 port smc switch which I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on. I can't seem to access the web interface. I was told the default ip address is 192.168.2.10 but I can't seem to get on it.

Have you tried running nmap to see if there is a device using port 80? If so than that is probably your switch. You could also do a hard reset of the switch if its you own personal switch and then google the default ip of the switch and defautl user/pass. Also if you havent tried already try using https:// then the ip address as it may be using secure login.

Worst case scenario I'm sure you can find the reset to default procedure on SMC's website.
