VTP version 2 Question?

in CCNA & CCENT
Based on the show vtp status command on a switch with clean configuration. The switch has a VTP V2 Mode: Disabled.
So that would mean that if I set the switch to Transparent Mode, it won't forward VTP messages unless it belongs to the same domain and have the same password, right?
If I'm going to change it to version 2, do I have to change all of the other switches setting to version 2?
On production networks, do you guys usually change the VTP version mode to 2?

Yes, VTP version 1 only forwards if domain/password is correct. Once you enable VTP version 2 on the server, all other switches in the domain will run V2. -

But if I have transparent mode switches? Do I have to manually change the VTP Version to 2 to make it forward VTP Updates? Or VTP Version 1 would do?
