Higher ups want a solution to stream our all-hands meetings. We are currently using a cheap webcam that someone pans manually which is a pain in the rear. We feed this into a gotomeeting session. Since the worst part is moving the camera I looked at something like the QuickCam Orbit AF cam but we tried it and it doesn't work well. The kick is that the system needs to be based off a beefed up laptop as the meetings are held in a different place very quarter.
While researching options I found that we may be able to use a prosumer camera like the Canon XA10 along with a device like a Matrox MX02 Mini. I am wondering if anyone here is familiar with this or a similar setup.
