wierd one

This is a long story but i'll keep it short.

I have a desktop i pulled out of the closet, it is running XP. Plugged it up, it booted to windows fine, but with a new keyboard and mouse combo I had to restart. when I did, no picture. I've troubleshoot the heck out of it, but cant figure it out. Ive removed RAM, Threw in another card, changed the slot, cleared the CMOS, tested the monitor, nothing.

Any ideas? Please?

mouse / keyboard not detected and freezsing on post?
have you checked them on a different set up ?

yes, all peripherals work on a different setup. ive had that issue before on various setups, when you hook up usb outside of windows (i.e not logged in)

also to note, the pc does not have onboard graphics, so no luck using that.

If the keyboard and mouse were USB, you might want to check the ports that you first plugged them into. Make sure that the connectors in the USB port are not touching.
Also, Have you booted with just the motherboard, power supply, RAM, and CPU?

I disconnected the USB controller and all other connections.

So I took it over to a buddy's house, we tested the card/ PC. Card is good but we can't geta card to work in the PC. Looks like she just died on me
