As I stated in September, I received a job offer with a company as linux/ networking technical support. Right when I opened the door, I knew I was going to love it. Everyone was wearing jeans and t-shirts! Along with the casual dress code, there was a relaxed feel to the place. The managers do not micro-manage and all the employees seem happy and up-beat.

One of the first things I noticed when I walked in the door, was that the manager was talking about some guy and said he was in the same position as me but he kept referring to him as NOC. As I shadowed through out the day, I realize our job was a mixture of linux support/NOC/ help desk tier 2! There seemed to be a lot tasks/duties with this job but I don't mind because I'm gaining valuable job experience!

Today was the first time I actually wanted to stay after my shift...and actually work some more. Hopefully this excitement doesn't go away lol icon_thumright.gif
