Wireless problem at work
Cat5
For those of you familiar with wireless, I have a problem on my computer at work. I had been connected fine through our wireless network, but recently I began getting the error message "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network <our network>." The wireless icon on the taskbar just keeps unsuccessfully trying to validate. It isn't a browser issue, as I don't have to get onto one to connect wirelessly. How do I get this certificate that it's asking for? I deal with some wireless issues here, but they mostly deal with browser certificates or going to specific websites - neither of which apply here, I don't believe.

You've probably figured it out by now, but yes, AD can store certs for EAP auth methods used by the WAPs. If you don't have the cert, you can generally get it by hard wiring to the domain and calling your Windows System admins.

This problem turned out to be a bad Windows update on a server that the wireless controller verified to. Once it was corrected, the connection problem went away.
