static routing basic help, cisco packet tracer

in CCNA & CCENT
a very basic problem i am not able to sort out 
i have 3 router R1, R2 and R3 connected together in series , i am confused how to connect them through Static routing,
here is what i have done but not working
R1 =
Network = 10.0.0.0
Mask = 255.0.0.0
Next Hop = 10.0.0.2
Serial2/0 Ip address = 10.0.0.1
Subnet Mast = 255.0.0.0
R2 =
Network1 = 20.0.0.0 , Mask = 255.0.0.0 , Next Hop = 10.0.0.1
Network2 = 20.0.0.0 , Mask = 255.0.0.0 , next hope = 172.17.0.2
Serial 2/0 ip address = 10.0.0.2
Subnet mask = 255.0.0.0
Serial 3/0 ip address = 172.16.0.1
subnet mask = 255.0.0.0
R3 =
Network = 30.0.0.0, Mask = 255.0.0.0, next hop = 172.16.0.1
serial 2/0 ip address = 172.17.0.2
and when i am pinging 10.0.0.1 from router 3 there is not output

Run the following commands on each router in Packet Tracer and then copy/paste the output back to your post here:
show ip route
show ip interface brief
