Nah, doesn't work on PDF and it is useless as you'd have to mark the text to be read out - which is pointless when you need / want a document to be read out .. tried all sorts of software - to convert PDF to MP3s (which I could then sync to an ipod), but they are all more than rubbish ..

Kindle or PDF format - the Kindle app on ipad / iphone does not support text to speech ...

The Kindle, itself, doesn't read PDFs out loud... only native docs. I always convert documents for this purpose. (At least this is the case with the 2nd gen Kindle).
