    Unemployed?

IT sales guys can sometimes get away with it, web designers may be able to do it but generally you need to be in the office for IT work

A consultant can be at home except for client meetings and activities, depending on how the company operates... and you could always run your own.

There are many IT jobs where you can get away with working from home on occasion.

It really depends on the company you work for and their culture.

I work in the network engineering team here and we are spread out over North/South America and the majority work from home. I split my time between home and the office depending on what's going on that day. Keep in mind though network engineering here is very little hands on, we created instructions for NOC to implement :).

In the past I've seen many places that allowed their IT guys to work from him a day or two a week, and met many sales/account reps that work from home as well.

I seem to notice a trend of the virtualization guys being at home.

I sometimes think i'd love being at home all day, but I probably wouldn't. Would really enjoy some flex time though!

    Network Architect. Perks.

Operations and Support are stuck in the office. Been there, done that.
