AD Alternatives
As some of you might now I was recently offered a IT Manager position where I would be tasked with building this company's infrastructure from the ground up.
As of now they dont have anyform of user management or directory services so I was wondering what you guys have used and how it compares to AD.

I have created my own Samba/OpenLDAP replacement for Active Directory. I used the official Samba documentation to do it. It has been three jobs ago, however, and many years.2025 Renew: [ ] AZ-204 [ ] AZ-305 [ ] AZ-400 [ ] AZ-500 [ ] AI-900

It not that their is something wrong with it but that im considering implementing it at my new job and wanted to put together a proposal together. I actually like Samba4 and from what ive been reading they are hoping to finish it late 2011 or 2012 but then again they have been working on this for many years now.
