Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminBoth are vendor-specific certifications, CCSP covers security using Cisco devices, CCSE using Checkpoint software. One is not necessarily better than the other, though CCSE is in demand (see link at top of this topic)and has established a good name. But before you start with CCSE, in most cases it's best to start with becoming knowledgable and skilled in the operating systems Checkpoint products run on. Most people I worked with who had a CCSA/CCSE cert were also MCSE and/or CCNA/CCNP. Your MCSA will also be an advantage of course, but try some jobsites to check out what CCSA/CCSE jobs are available and what they require in addition to these certs.
Good luck with your decision! -
