I've used the daily report for a couple of years now. Small issues with report formatting and office 2010 but that can be overcome with time and patience. He has other tools that are worthy of mention as well. Especially the automated vmtools upgrade script. His site lead me onto Powergui and the vmware community power pack. If you use powershell or powercli, even as a beginner, I would recommend checking out powergui.
