Cisco 4912G Switch - password recovery.
Just got this unit, but I am having an issue on password recovery.

I have been searching on google, but when in ROMMON, the confreg 0x2142 syntax is not known,

    Try

    config-register 0x2142

    instead (needs to be done in conf t I believe).

    Also worth trying is

    clear clear configurations or clear config all

    which will wipe the configuration (so make sure you have a backup obviously).

    It is all guess work to be honest as I have never worked with this one before ...

    I understand what you mean. This unit is running CatOS - which I thought I would never encounter. lol
