Hi there!
I have been planning to take CISSP next year. I have bought the following books :
- CBK
- Shon Harris 5th edition.
However, as the exam will be updated on January 1st 2012, I am confused whether I will be able to use the study material I have. I have seen that a new Shon Harris book will be released on FEB 10 2012. Will a new CBK be released too ? Should I buy the new Shon harris book ?
Please help me out!!

I have read the shon harris book and the isc2 book and both were horrid, then I read the eric conrad book and it is way better."Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati" (when all else fails play dead) -Red Green -

THIS.
I used Conrad's book for my primary and went to the AIO for clarifications. Honestly, I could have used the Conrad book alone. -

The Shon Harris book is an easy read with los o' fluff, where the official guide is a much drier read what tends to have more technical detail. For practice exams I felt the SSI book http://www.amazon.com/CISSP-Exam-Questions-Answers-Explanations/dp/0982576846/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1321316406&sr=8-6 was better than the Shon Harris practice exam book.
