Cisco 2501

in CCNA & CCENT
Hy guys!
Is Cisco 2501 still a good router for CCNA lab(to run OSPF,RIP,EIGRP). I have a 2620xm router and i think that i will save money if i will connect this router to CISCO 2501 Serial Port.
Thanks!

It will still do at least 90% of what you need for the CCNA. But the 2500 line is hard to recommend when you can find 1721's and 1760's almost as cheap and they do so much more. -

hell you can find 2610s for $10 a piece nowadays, although you'd have to find a wic 1t, but it's advantage is it's modular.Reading: Internetworking with TCP/IP: Principles, Protocols, and Architecture (D. Comer) -

if you do get a 2501, make sure it's maxed out on ram and it has the proper boot rom. You can go broke getting this stuff if it doesn't (as I learned the hard way) -
