I was given a project and was wondering if you guys had any ideas how to to this.

Were moving into a new office soon and they want to have a few TV's installed that would display sales stats in powerpoint format.
Any idea what I would need as far as wiring?

    You want digital signage.

If Wireless is an option, ViewSonic has a few that are Wireless. Otherwise you'll have to run a network drop to each one. Either way, with their digital signage solutions you can easily push PowerPoint slides to them for display.

    Viewsonic » Digital Signage

I had one of the 10.4" screens found here: Viewsonic » ePosters For testing at my old job. It was going to go outside of a conference room to display the room schedule.

They would prefer something wired, thats why im looking into it so we could tell the guys what to wire.
Ideally Id have 1 computer that would output its video to a few TV's

Cat 5 cabling and htmi cables. We have wires fished through holes in the wall that connect the TV to dell desktops.

The cat 5 is for the pcs so it is pretty typical. There are some mounting brackets for the TVs (to put them on the walls) and that's it.

I've actually been working on a pretty similar project, new office with a bunch of TVs with different input sources. For long HDMI runs, I'd recommend using HDMI over cat5 extenders...something like Amazon.com: Tripp Lite B125-150 HDMI over Cat5 / Cat6 Extender HDMI/HDCP: Electronics

If you have any specific questions, feel free to hit me up. My project consisted of 16 55in displays in offices and a 9 panel LCD wall, all displays have an input source for cable tv, a central ps3, video cameras, and some internal graph displays that are served on a linux box connected via HDMI.

Here is what I use to extend one PP presentation from one PC to the Casino floor (for daily promotions etc...). Basically its just like any other VGA/CAT extender, except this is one monitor input to an 8 port extender, then a receiver at each TV.

    VOPEX-C5V-8R and ST-C5VA-R-600
    Both from NTI
