ExamCram. For A+, Network+, and Security+, I read through ExamCram, took 1-3 practice tests, and passed. General rule:
Comptia: ExamCram
Microsoft: Microsoft Press
Cisco: Cisco Press
However, Wikibooks has a free online Network+ book. I have glanced at in the past and the material seemed decent enough. I recommended it to one of my junior guys, though I'm not sure if he passed the test on just that or if he purchased anything. Network Plus Certification - Wikibooks, open books for an open world
But if you're going to purchase something, that is your book. I'll eat my hat if you can't pass it after a read-through of that and a couple of tests. Flashcards can also be nice for remembering some of the protocols and standards you might not otherwise need to have in your head.
I decided to use Mike Meyers Passport, mixed with Professor Messer videos. I was about to get Exam Cram, but it looked to be information overload, too much fluff for me. Not to mention all the reviews stating it is full of errors. Just my 2 cents...
Well, I haven't looked at it in years. It was great when I used it. I want to say I used a 2003 or 2004 book and it was just fine. But yeah, looking at the reviews on this one, it sounds like Exam Cram dropped the ball on Net+.
