I was doing some reading on SSD's and found this pdf that I thought was a good read.

It looks like the optimizations are merely how to save space on a small (<100GB) hard drives (e.g., turn off hibernation and paging files, reduce the space reserved by system restore, etc.) and has nothing specifically to do with SSDs. I'm suprised it didn't mention using disk cleaners, like CCleaner, to remove GBs of forgotten temp files. It's all good advice, but I'll be glad when inexpensive SSDs are up in the 250GB range, and economizing on disk space is less of an issue. -
