Quick question for everyone. I just got contacted for a position as a Systems Analyst working on a system I worked on prior to my current job. They said they would fly me from Va to CA, I would work 2 weeks on and have 2 weeks off. the recruiter said she will try to get what I asked for in compensation which is High. What is everyone's feelings?

What are your hours while you are in CA? 24/7 on-call?

Not sure yet, I would think at least 60 hour weeks

The job would be to build the machine and then train the users on how to use the system

I was contacted last night from a different company for the same position. So do you think that this would be an advantage for me if I am offered the position from the different companies? Should I tell each company about the other?

Sounds like just another recruiter jockeying for the same contract. I usually advise the new recruiter if I am already in the pipeline with a recruiter for that job.
I will, however, listen to what the new recruiter is offering me (to gage whether the first recruiter was trying to lowball me) and use that info when I next talk to my recruiter. I got a $5/hr raise at my current job by doing this.
No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives.

I told them both that I am currently working full-time, so if they want me then they are going to have to pay me a good amount of money plus all the bells and whistles. But might be interesting once they find out they are both trying to recruit me.
