Not to spend 600 bucks on a 3750 and instead buy "holiday: cards, put in 20 bucks inside them and hand them out to the people I encounter at Starbucks, the liquor store, the grocerty store and the few places I eat every day.Currently Reading

Lose some more weight. Lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks just by switching from pop-tarts to oatmeal for breakfast, and paying more attention to portion size.
Decide what cert I want next, then study/pass.

It is getting to be that time of the year, isn't it...
Well, some things that I need to do:
1. Health - I get going pretty well for a while and then something gets in the way... work, school, family, breaking a wrist... I need to find a routine that I can do and stick with regardless of life's surprises. Probably add more cardio as I typically ignore that. Maybe just start out doing a half hour of cardio in the mornings...
2. School - Finish up this MS in Cybersecurity Policy. This will require me to do Spring - Summer - Fall and not have a break. I have been feeling burned out, so I need to get ahead of the curve and not play catch up. Also, it would be great to get an A in these last three classes; they have essentially made it impossible to do, but I have been between 87-89 percent in each course... but they only do straight grades, no pluses or minuses. I want at leave a 3.5 GPA, which will be rather difficult.
3. Work - Promotion. It mostly rides on successfully moving through my current Exchange migration project. I need to make substantial progress on it and look for new business. That will give me an 8% pay bump on top of my merit raise and hopefully put me over the ever elusive Social Security cap for the first time in my life! That has always been one of my goals.
4. Family - Need to get us a vacation or something. Also, I vow to take the kids sledding if it snows, at least twice (we only sledded once last year). My real estate agent (I should say friend, I have known her for 12 years) invited us to her new half-time home outside of Orlando... so maybe I take the family down there and we go to Disney! Also need to get the kids involved in some activities, especially in the Summer. It could be a "two birds with one stone" situation, as well... a healthy activity for the whole, or most of the, family.
5. Certs - Uh, finish up my current list that will not be completed this year.... consider any potential Windows Server 8 certs that come up... and maybe study towards MCM Exchange 2010, but probably won't take it.
6. Survival/Self-sufficiency - I have been looking into onPoint Tactical and I want to try to do their Urban Escape and Evasion course and perhaps do the Wilderness Survival course with my wife (she was not interested in Urban E&E in the slightest... something about not wanting to go through a simulated kidnapping or water boarding...). I would also like to start a garden this year, and maybe do some canning. It might help on the health front and be a little more frugal.2025 Renew: [ ] AZ-204 [ ] AZ-305 [ ] AZ-400 [ ] AZ-500 [ ] AI-900
