MTA - Windows Server Administration Fundamentals 98-365

Im taking a network server class this spring. It seems that this class will heavily lean on Windows server. In fact the textbook is for the exam 98-365. http://www.amazon.com/98-365-Administration-Fundamentals-Microsoft-Official/dp/0470901829/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1324689527&sr=1-1

The question I have should I take the exam to get the cert for MTA - Windows Server Fundamentals or concentrate on the MCTS exams afterwards.

Any thoughts and ideas will be beneficial

do you have to be a student to sit the exam.
i was thinking of doing it as an intro to 2008 server

If I were you I would just do the MTA exam as an introductory and then if you are going for system administrator position focus on MCTS and MCITP certifications. MTA exams should be easy, they are the first line of certifications by Microsoft and you can gain experience on the certification process and exam type.
