I have attempted to find out the requirements needed to get an IT job in a casino and have not found anything. However I did find this forum. So far I have my Associates Degree in Networking Technologies, and 2.5 years experience working for a small IT company supporting/ managing Small businesses. I have my A+ and Network+ certifications and I am currently working on my CCNA and Security+(should have these 2 in the next month or 2). I have experience in Server 03/08, Small Business Server 08/11, Exchange, Active Directory, Wiring, Workstation support/ virus removal/ software support, Sonicwall configuration, WebFilter configuration, Active Sync, and other small business related software.. I have applied at every casino in the Biloxi, MS area where I intend to move as soon as I can find work. I have also applied to all small IT company's that I have been able to find. What is required to get a job in a casino? What path should I take to be able to reach this goal?

What type of position are you seeking? I know at the casinos here in CT (Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun) they are a bit particular and look for people with backgrounds in security/enterprise environments. -

And where I am wanting to move the casino's appear to be a great place to start. It doesn't appear to have many other large businesses. Where I currently live there is almost no way to get corporate/ enterprise experience. Pretty much everything around here is a small business (2-40 workstations). So how would everyone suggest I go about furthering my career into security/ enterprise? Which certs should I aim for?

I would agree.
The few people I know who had a job in a casino got in because:
1. They knew someone
2. Passed a security/background/drug etc.. test
3. Fit the image of the company (they worked the floor or with the 'guests')
Have you contacted the casino and asked them what they have available? It may not hurt to inquire if they take on newbies or apprentices and let them know what your can do already.
Good luckPlantwiz

***I'll add you can Capitalize the word 'I' to show a little respect for yourself too.
'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird? -

I currently work for a casino. You generally have to know someone or be available when they are hiring. Your skills look pretty solid. Depending on the casino, they often separate their duties as far as slots and everything else. You may be able to get on as a slot tech and then move laterally to the IT dept. Casinos generally have a lot of different software, so experience working with that is useful. -
