Not always, but most of the time yes. We actually have some provider managed CPE's on our international circuits. Where we are responsible for everything on the LAN side of it.

In the CCENT the CPE is the customers responsibility right?

Yes, for CCENT it is. You can also refer to it as Customer Provided Equipment if you like...
