Hello,
it depends on the method of autentication.
- PAP: on router1, USERNAME and PASSWORD in command "username ..." must be same as in command "ppp pap sent-username USERNAME password PASSWORD" on router2.
- CHAP: on router1, USERNAME in command "username ..." must be same as hostname of router2 by default. But it is possible change to the same method as in PAP with this command "ppp chap hostname USERNAME".
Note: in CHAP passwords must be same on both routers, in PAP not
